Humble Beginnings
Reflecting on my journey of self-growth was the most challenging yet honest part of this process. I had to confront and document the numerous setbacks and failures I experienced across various aspects of my life - from school and relationships to the broader struggles of living. However, a quote from an impactful book I read provides perspective: "A successful path is not about the absence of resistance, but the navigation of it." Inspired by this, I am ready to overcome my fear of the unknown and anxiety about making the wrong choices. This important transition has been long overdue, as time waits for no one.
Food for Thought
The precedent of measuring ourselves based against other people is setting us up not just for conformity but for the lack of innovation and creativity. And not to mention, it's not fun to live a life based on other people's patterns. When it comes to creating change in the world, it's not about being bigger, faster or stronger than the person beside you; it's about providing something different than what has been done.
